Shofuso: Japan On $6 A Day
Philadelphia's Fairmount Park has a lot going for it photographically. But If you ever visit the horticulture center there than be sure to walk around back and explore a small piece of Japan that is tucked away behind the main building.
Shofuso is a really neat place to visit if you are ever looking for someplace a little different to take pictures in the Philadelphia area. Even if you aren't going to take pictures the area is extremely peaceful and relaxing and would be a perfect way to destress after a long work week. The charm of this place hits you virtually as soon as you walk through the main gate. It's like stepping into one of those travel guides forJapan and the caretakers do a great job at keeping the illusion alive.
Easily the best part of visiting Shofuso is how quickly you forget your proximity to a major city. No noise pollution, no skyscrapers blotting out the sky, and an overwhelming sense of peace and tranquility are all used to their greatest potential to make Shofuso a very charming place to visit.

Changing Things Up A Bit
I've decided to change things up a bit.
Instead of only posting pictures in this blog I will be posting articles as well. I think the new format will be better suited for my website than a straight photo blog. If you are still itching for photo goodness 3 times a week than may I recommend my other photo blog Clocks for Seeing. It currently is home to a variety of IR pictures but I am sure will contain a more varied assortment of images as it grows.
